dayā sarvatra kartavyā daivādhīnamidaṃ jagat |
īrṣyayā kiṃ nṛpaśreṣṭha yadbhāvyaṃ tadbhaviṣyati ||

This world is under the control of Destiny; therefore one should shew mercy to all. O king! What use is there to shew one’s jealousy? What is inevitable will surely come to pass.
