3.27.1

vyāsa uvāca |
hīnāṅgīṃ varjayetkanyāṃ kuṣṭhayuktāṃ vraṇāṅkitām |
gandhasphuritahīnāṅgīṃ viśālakulasambhavām ||

Vyâsa said:-- O king! Those Kumârîs, who are defective in limbs, who are lepers, who are filled with sores and ulcers over their bodies, whose bodies emit offensive smell or whose bodies are polluted, or those who are of a bad family are never to be accepted for worship in the Navarâtra ceremony festival.
