upavāse hyaśaktānāṃ navarātravrate punaḥ |
upoṣaṇatrayaṃ proktaṃ yathoktaphaladaṃ nṛpa ||

O king! Those who are unable to observe the fasting in this Navarâtra Pûjâ, will reap the same fruits, if they observe fasting for the three days only the Saptamî, the Astamî, and the Navamî tithis.
