vandhyā ca yā bhavennārī vidhavā dhanavarjitā |
anumā tatra kartavyā neyaṃ kṛtavatī vratam ||

Those women that are barren, or widows or devoid of sons, infer that they never, in their previous births, performed this sacrifice.
