so'pi śrutvā vināśaṃ taṃ jātaḥ krodhavaśaḥ khalaḥ |
jagāma rathamāruhya mārīcasyāśramaṃ tadā ||

The wicked and malignant Râvana, hearing of their death, became filled with anger and, mounting on a chariot, quickly went to the forest of Mârîcha.
