sa śabdastumulastāvajjānakyā saṃśrutastadā |
rāghavasyeti sā matvā dīnā devaramabravīt ||

This loud awful cry reached Jânakî’s ears. She took that voice for Râma's voice and told to Laksmana in a grieved tone “Laksmana, go quickly. I fear Râma is killed; hear the voice ‘O Laksmana! come quickly and deliver me’ is calling you to go there.”
