jāto'sau mathurāyāṃ tu gokule sa kathaṃ gataḥ |
kaṃsaṃ hatvā dvāravatyāṃ nivāsaṃ kṛtavānkatham ||

Why did Krisna taking his birth at Mathurâ, go to Gokula? Also what was his object to go to Dvârkâ, situated in the ocean, when he killed the enemy Kamsa?
