iti śrīmaddevībhāgavate mahāpurāṇe'ṣṭādaśasāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ caturthaskandhe surāṅganānāṃ prati nārāyaṇavaradānaṃ nāma saptadaśo'dhyāyaḥ ||
The religious sanction advocated by the Munis “Procreate sons in any way whatsoever” is simply shameful. Fie to this religious sanction.
