sākṣād brahmasvarūpā vai brāhmaṇā brahmavittamāḥ |
yeṣāṃ darśanamātreṇa kṛtakṛtyāśca jantavaḥ ||
The brāhmaṇas are verily the direct form of Brahman, the foremost knowers of Brahman,
by the mere sight of whom creatures have accomplished their purpose.
