kutrāpi śaṅkaraḥ śreṣṭhaḥ kutra viṣṇustathā raviḥ |
śaktiścaiva gaṇeśaśca virājaḥ kutra rūpakam ||
In some places Śaṅkara is the highest, in others Viṣṇu, and likewise the Sun,
and Śakti, and Gaṇeśa; and in other places the form is Virāj."
