daityādibhyo bhayairyuktā devāstatra vasanti te |
bhayahīnāśca tān hatvā laye mṛtyubhayapradam ||
Beset by fears from Daityas and others, those gods dwell there;
and when they are free from fear, slaying them, in the dissolution [the lord] causes the fear of death.
