gajāsura uvāca |
yadi tuṣṭo'si deveśa varaṃ dehi maheśvara |
brahmāṇḍavāsinaḥ sarve tebhyo mṛtyurna me bhavet ||

Gajāsura said: / If you are pleased, O lord of gods, grant a boon, O Maheśvara: / let there be no death for me from any dwellers of the cosmic egg.
