āsanasthā dvijān dṛṣṭvā na calantyalpabuddhayaḥ |
tāḍayanti dvijān śūdrā rājāno rājajīvinaḥ ||
Seeing the twice-born, those of dull intellect do not rise from their seats; / śūdras, kings, and those who live by serving kings beat the twice-born.
