saṅkaṭe ca vanasthaḥ sa grāme naiva vaset kadā |
praveśo'pi na kartavyo grāme tena mahātmanā ||

Even in times of distress, the forest-dweller should never dwell in a village; / no entry into a village should be made by that noble-minded soul.
