ahiṃsā paramo dharmaḥ saṃnyāsānāṃ viśeṣataḥ |
tṛṇādikaṃ ca vipreśa cchedayenna kadā na ca ||
Non-violence is the supreme dharma, especially for renunciants; / he should never, ever cut even grass and the like, O best of Brahmins.
