sarvatra rasahīnaṃ ca mānasaṃ vartate yathā |
kartavyaṃ tattathā tena manodaṇḍaḥ prakīrtitaḥ ||
Just as the mind remains everywhere devoid of taste [for objects], / so it must be made by him; that is proclaimed as the staff of the mind.
