vāyavaṃ vaiśyajātīnāṃ gāndharvaṃ śūdrajanminām |
svasvakarmaratānāṃ vai padaṃ proktaṃ manīṣibhiḥ ||
that of Vāyu for the vaiśya castes, and that of the Gandharvas for those of śūdra birth. / This realm is proclaimed by the wise for those devoted to their own duties.
