Mudgalapurana 4.17.20

4.17.20

sarvādau tadvrataṃ sarvaiḥ kartavyaṃ nityavatprabho |
caturṇāṃ puruṣārthānāṃ dāyakaṃ vighnahārakam ||

First of all, that vow must be observed by all as an obligatory duty, O lord; / it bestows the four aims of human life and removes obstacles.
