ahaṃ purā suśāntyarthaṃ vyāsaṃ ca śaraṇaṃ gataḥ |
mahyaṃ saṅkathitaṃ tena sākṣānnārāyaṇena ca ||

Formerly, for the sake of true peace, I sought refuge with Vyāsa. / It was related to me by him, who was directly Nārāyaṇa himself.
