idamāśvinajāyāstu māhātmyaṃ yaḥ śṛṇoti vā |
paṭhet sa kṛṣṇasaṅkaṣṭyāḥ sarvārthaṃ labhate naraḥ ||
A man who either hears or reads this greatness / of the dark Saṅkaṣṭī occurring in Āśvina attains all goals.

oṃ tatsaditi śrīmadāntye purāṇopaniṣadi śrīmanmaudgale mahāpurāṇe caturthe khaṇḍe gajānanacarite āśvinakṛṣṇacaturthīmāhātmyavarṇanaṃ nāma aṣṭāviṃśo'dhyāyaḥ ||
Om tat sat. Thus ends the twenty-eighth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Greatness of the Dark Fourth of Āśvina,' in the deeds of Gajānana, in the fourth section of the glorious Maudgala Mahāpurāṇa, the final Purāṇa-Upaniṣad.
