putre rājyaṃ parityajya sastrīkaḥ sa vanaṃ yayau |
tatra vighneśvaraṃ bhaktyā'bhajaccānanyacetasā ||
Having abandoned the kingdom to his son, he went to the forest with his wife; / there he worshipped Vighneśvara with devotion and with single-pointed mind.
