evamuktaḥ prabhuṃ lobhastaṃ praṇamya gajānanam |
kāvyena sahitaḥ so'pi svapuraṃ prayayau prabho ||
Thus addressed, Lobha bowed down to the Lord, to that Gajānana, / and accompanied by Kāvya, he went to his own city, O Lord.

oṃ tatsaditi śrīmadāntye purāṇopaniṣadi śrīmanmaudgale mahāpurāṇe caturthe khaṇḍe gajānanacarite lobhāsuraśāntivarṇanaṃ nāma dvicatvāriṃśo'dhyāyaḥ ||
Om tat sat. Thus ends the forty-second chapter, named 'Description of the Pacification of Lobhāsura,' in the account of Gajānana, in the fourth section of the glorious Maudgala Mahāpurāṇa, an Upaniṣad of Purāṇas.
