bhunakti rājā pāpaṃ rāṣṭrakṛtaṃ śāstrasammatam |
janānāṃ vratahīnānāṃ pāpabhāgī bhavān mataḥ ||
A king consumes the sin committed by his kingdom, as agreed by the sacred scriptures. / You are deemed a partaker of the sin of the people who are devoid of the vow.
