pañcamyāṃ taṃ jaghānaiva tato vyādhaṃ gajānanaḥ |
caturthyāṃ kṣudhitatvāt sa brahmabhūtaṃ cakāra ha ||
Then, on the fifth day, Gajānana struck down that hunter; / because he had fasted on the fourth, he made him one with Brahman.
