oṃ tatsaditi śrīmadāntye purāṇopaniṣadi śrīmanmaudgale mahāpurāṇe caturthe khaṇḍe gajānanacarite śuklā''śvinī caturthī vratavarṇanaṃ nāmāṣṭamo'dhyāyaḥ ||

"Om tat sat." Thus ends the eighth chapter, named "Description of the Observance of the Fourth Day of the Bright Fortnight of Āśvina," in the narrative of Gajānana in the fourth section of the glorious and final Purāṇopaniṣad, the venerable Maudgala Mahāpurāṇa.
