taṃ dṛṣṭvā praṇato bhūtvā'pūjayaṃ tu yathāvidhi |
staumi nāmāṣṭakena sma kauthumena mahāprabhum ||
Seeing him, having bowed down, I worshipped the great lord according to the rules;
I praised him with the eight names taught by Kauthuma.
