pūrvadvāre sthitau devau lakṣmīnārāyaṇāvubhau |
tābhyāṃ tu vividhaṃ sṛṣṭaṃ svasvasthānārthamādarāt ||
At the eastern gate stood the two deities Lakṣmī and Nārāyaṇa; / by them, manifold [creation] was created with reverence for the sake of their respective places.
