śrīgaṇeśa uvāca |
varaṃ brūta mahābhāgāḥ sakṣetrā devamukhyakāḥ |
dāsyāmi tapasā tuṣṭo bhaktyā stotreṇa cepsitam ||

The venerable Gaṇeśa said: / "Speak your wish, O highly fortunate principal gods with your sacred places! / Pleased by your austerity, devotion, and hymn of praise, I will give what is desired.
