dvitīyāyāṃ tu saṃjñāyāyāṃ sajñayamiti cintayan
bhāskarā janayāmāsa putrā kanyā ca rūpiṇīm

Because he continually takes up (ādāna) the splendour of celestial and earthly / lineages here on all sides, as well as of austerities, he is Āditya;
