tāṃ śaṣṭukāmo bhagavān nāśāya kṛpitaḥ prabhuḥ
tataśchāyā yathā vṛkṣamācacakṣe vivasvatam
He is capable (śaktaḥ) of effecting the creation, grace, and withdrawal of the universe;
the root 'śakḷ' is recorded in the sense of capability, therefore he is called Śakra.
