tenātipīḍito devo rūpeṇa te divaspatiḥ
santuṣṭastasya tadvākyaṃ bahu mene mahātapāḥ
The root 'tuṣ' is recorded in the sense of contentment, hence 'tvaṣṭṛ' is derived;
he creates creatures when pleased, therefore he is called Tvaṣṭṛ.
