evaṃ samvatsaro hyagniḥ ṛtavastasya yajñire
ṛtuputrārtavāḥ pañca iti sargaḥ sanātanaḥ

These eighteen are the foremost [attendants] of Bhānu, and fourteen others are below Ravi; / and there are two chiefs, the Gandharva and the Sun, of immeasurable extent;
