kālo hyeṣa mahāyogī saṃhārotpattilakṣaṇaḥ
ya eṣa maṇḍale hyasmiṃstejobhiḥ pūrayanmahīm
With the axle and together with the wheel it revolves, impelled by the pole-star;
thus is the arrangement of his chariot according to its functional needs.
