yaḥ pitā sarvadevānāṃ daivataṃ cāpi yaḥ param
yajate devatāḥ kāstu pitṝn vā kānayaṃ yajet

Bṛhadbala said: / “For what reason was this son, born of his own body, cursed by his father? / Surely there must be a cause for which he cursed his son.”
