śravaṇe ca dṛśau jihvā nāsikā tvak ca pañcamī
śabdādijñānasiddhyarthaṃ buddhiyuktāni pañca vai //
The two ears, the two eyes, the tongue, the nose, and the skin as the fifth;
these five are endowed with intellect for the purpose of perceiving sound and the rest.
