śrīvyāsa uvāca:
śṛṇu vatsa mahāprājña yaj jñātvā muktim āpnuyāt
tac ca vakṣyāmi te divyaṃ nāradena śrutaṃ purā //
Śrī Vyāsa said: / Listen, child of great wisdom, to that knowing which one attains liberation; / I shall declare to you that divine [teaching] heard long ago by Nārada.
