vilipya raktagandhena raktapuṣpaiḥ prapūjayat
tato 'sau dattavān dhūpam ājyayuktaṃ sacandanam
naivedyaṃ caiva hāridraṃ guḍakhaṇḍaghṛtaplutam //
Having smeared [him] with red unguent, he worshipped him with red blossoms; / then he offered incense mixed with ghee and sandalwood, / and a turmeric-coloured food offering drenched in pieces of jaggery and ghee.
