tasmāt saṃbhāvitā sṛṣṭiḥ prajānāṃ brahmaṇā tadā
ity evaṃ kathitā sṛṣṭir mayā te munisattama
sṛjato jagatīṃ tasya kiṃ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi //
From him the creation of living beings was then effected by Brahmā. / Thus has the creation been recounted by me to you, O best of sages, / as he created the earth; what more do you wish to hear?
