31.36

dhruva uvāca:
adya yāvat pitā mātā tvaṃ cottānapado vibhuḥ
adyaprabhṛti me mātā pitā viṣṇur na śaṃśayaḥ //

Dhruva said: / 'Until today, you were my mother and the powerful Uttānapāda was my father; / from today on, my mother and father is Viṣṇu—there is no doubt.'
