vinatāyāṃ tu dvau putrau prakhyātau garuḍāruṇau
garuḍo devadevasya viṣṇor amitatejasaḥ //
Upon Vinatā [were born] two sons, the renowned Garuḍa and Aruṇa.
Garuḍa, out of affection, attained the state of being the mount
