dadyād dānaṃ dvijāgryebhyo dharmabuddhisamanvitaḥ
svadāranirato nityaṃ paradāravivarjitaḥ //

he should give gifts to the foremost twice-born, endowed with a righteous mind, / ever devoted to his own wife and avoiding the wives of others;
