kecid dānaṃ praśaṃsanti kecid āhuḥ paraṃ śubham
samyagjñānaṃ paraṃ kecit kecid vairāgyam uttamam //

some praise giving, some say [it is] the supreme good; / some [praise] correct knowledge as supreme, some the highest detachment;
