puṇḍarīko mahābhāgaḥ puruṣārthaviśāradaḥ
prasādaṃ param ākāṅkṣan viṣṇos tadgatamānasaḥ //
The illustrious Puṇḍarīka, skilled in the aims of human life, / yearning for the supreme grace of Viṣṇu, had his mind fixed on Him.
