śubham idam upalabhya mānuṣatvaṃ sukṛtaśatena vṛthendriyārthahetoḥ
ramayati kurute na mokṣamārgaṃ dahayati candanam āśu bhasmahetoḥ //
Having obtained this auspicious human state by hundreds of good deeds, he who enjoys it in vain for the sake of the sense objects / and does not make it a path to liberation, burns sandalwood quickly merely for the sake of ash.
