anantaraṃ ca vaktrebhyo vedāstasya vinirgatāḥ /
purāṇamekamevāsīd asmin kalpāntare mune //
And thereafter the Vedas issued forth from his mouths.
There was only a single purāṇa at the beginning of this kalpa, O sage.
