iyamekā saricchreṣṭhā ṛṣikoṭiniṣevitā /
nānyā kācittriloke 'pi ramaṇīyā nareśvara //
this single best of rivers was frequented by tens of millions of sages; / no other [river] in the three worlds was so delightful, O lord of men!
