kālena vṛkṣāḥ prapatanti ye 'pi mahātaraṃgaughanikṛttamūlāḥ /
te narmadāṃbhobhirapāstapāpā dedīpyamānāstridivaṃ prayānti //
Even trees that in time fall, their roots severed by the mass of great waves, / with their sins cast away by the waters of the Narmadā, go to heaven radiant.
