ratiputraphalā nārī paṭhyate vedavādibhiḥ /
putrahīnasya yatsaukhyaṃ tatsaukhyaṃ mama sundari //

Woman is proclaimed by the teachers of the Veda as having pleasure and progeny for her fruit.
Whatever happiness belongs to a man without a son, that happiness is mine, O lovely one.
