rāvaṇo brahmaputro yastrailokyaṃ yasya śaṅkate /
hataḥ sa rāmacandreṇa saputraḥ sahabāndhavaḥ //
Rāvaṇa, who was a son of Brahmā, of whom the three worlds stood in fear,
was slain by Rāmacandra along with his sons and kinsmen.
