evaṃ bahuvidhaṃ duḥkhaṃ pralapitvā punaḥpunaḥ /
janaiścāśvāsito vipro bālaṃ gṛhya bahirgataḥ //
Having lamented in this way with various kinds of grief again and again,
and consoled by the people, the brāhmaṇa took the boy and went outside.
